Yanis Begraoui continued his promising start to the Portuguese season on Monday night, scoring for Estoril against Benfica at the Estádio da Luz.
Starting at the heart of the attack, the Moroccan forward found the net in the 82nd minute, giving Estoril renewed hope of completing a late comeback.
Begraoui Brings Estoril Back Into the Game
Estoril found themselves two goals behind after Vangelis Pavlidis opened the scoring in the 40th minute before Clément Lenglet doubled Benfica's advantage six minutes after halftime. But the visitors refused to surrender.
In the 82nd minute, Fernando Medrano picked out Begraoui, who calmly finished past Samuel Soares to reduce the deficit and set up a tense final period.
Estoril pushed for an equalizer, but Benfica held on to secure all three points.
Two Goals in Four Matches
Despite the result, Begraoui's individual start to the campaign continues to provide plenty of encouragement.
The Moroccan striker has now scored twice in four Liga Portugal appearances, following his goal against Famalicão on the opening matchday.
Having played the full 90 minutes against Benfica, Begraoui continues to establish himself as an important attacking figure for Estoril.
