The Bundesliga delivered a fascinating battle between Schalke and Bayern Munich, with the two sides settling for a 0–0 draw in the second matchday of the season.

Both Moroccan internationals, Soufiane El-Faouzi and Ismael Saibari, were named in their respective starting lineups, adding another Moroccan touch to one of Germany’s biggest football stages.

Bayern Dominate, But Schalke Stand Firm

Bayern Munich controlled much of the possession and dictated the rhythm of the match, constantly looking for a way through the Schalke defense.

Yet despite their dominance, the Bavarian giants could not find the breakthrough, as Schalke remained organized and determined to protect their goal.

The result earns Schalke a valuable point against one of the Bundesliga’s strongest sides, a result that could prove important as their season develops.

El-Faouzi Impresses in Midfield

For Schalke, Soufiane El-Faouzi delivered an encouraging performance in midfield, showing composure and energy throughout his time on the pitch.

The Moroccan international was among the standout performers for his side, contributing to Schalke’s disciplined display against Bayern’s possession-heavy approach.

It was another promising moment for the young Moroccan as he continues his journey on the Bundesliga stage.

Saibari Begins From the Start

Meanwhile, Ismael Saibari also featured from the opening whistle, experiencing a demanding afternoon against a Bayern side that controlled possession for long stretches.

The Moroccan midfielder was substituted in the 57th minute as Schalke continued to battle for a result.

While the game did not produce goals, both Moroccan internationals were once again part of an important Bundesliga fixture, another sign of the growing Moroccan presence across Europe’s biggest leagues.

One Point Each

The draw leaves Bayern Munich with four points from their opening two matches, placing them fourth in the table.

Schalke, meanwhile, collect their first point of the campaign and move into 14th place.

For the Moroccan duo, the Bundesliga journey continues, and there will be plenty more opportunities to shine as the season gathers pace.
