Celta Vigo have officially announced the signing of Moroccan winger Couhaib Driouech from PSV Eindhoven, bringing the player to Spain after his proposed move to Rangers failed to materialize.

The Spanish club reached an agreement with PSV for a transfer fee of €7 million, with Driouech putting pen to paper on a four-year contract that will keep him at Celta Vigo until 2030.

A New Chapter in Spain

Driouech joined PSV in the summer of 2024 from Excelsior Rotterdam and quickly became part of a successful period for the Dutch club.

During his time in Eindhoven, the Moroccan contributed to a team that lifted two Eredivisie titles as well as the Johan Cruyff Shield.

His performances and development in the Netherlands eventually attracted interest from several European clubs, with Rangers initially emerging as a potential destination.

From PSV to La Liga

The collapse of the Rangers move opened the door for Celta Vigo, who moved decisively to secure the Moroccan winger.

The €7 million agreement represents an important step in Driouech's career as he prepares to test himself in La Liga, one of Europe's most competitive leagues.

A Fresh Opportunity

At Celta Vigo, Driouech will have the opportunity to continue his development while taking on a new challenge in Spanish football.

His pace, technical ability and attacking versatility could provide another dimension to the club's offensive options as he begins the next chapter of his European journey.

From Rotterdam to Eindhoven, and now Galicia, Driouech's European adventure enters a new chapter.
