The Moroccan national team will return to training on Thursday evening as preparations begin for their upcoming friendly at the Grand Stade de Tanger on October 4.
Following their return from Bloemfontein, where they secured a 2–0 victory over Lesotho in their second AFCON 2027 qualifying match, the squad will now shift its attention to the final fixture of the international window.
The Full Squad Returns to Training
The Atlas Lions are expected to train at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, with all players taking part in the session.
It will be the first collective training session since the team returned from South Africa, giving the coaching staff an opportunity to assess the players after a demanding period that included two competitive qualifiers.
With the entire squad available, Mohamed Ouahbi can now begin preparing his team for a different type of challenge.
Focus Turns to the Next Challenge
Unlike the two AFCON qualifiers, Sunday's match will be a friendly, but it remains an important opportunity for the coaching staff to continue developing the squad.
The session will allow the technical team to work on tactical movements, attacking combinations and defensive organisation, while also addressing areas that emerged during the victory over Lesotho.
Ouahbi will also begin assessing his options and gradually shape the starting lineup for the meeting in Tangier.
Building on the Qualifying Campaign
Morocco opened their AFCON 2027 qualifying campaign with a 2–0 win over Gabon, before recording another 2–0 victory against Lesotho.
Those results have given the team a positive start under the new coaching staff, while also providing valuable minutes to several younger players.
The upcoming friendly offers another chance to build chemistry within the squad and continue integrating different profiles into the national-team setup.
Tangier Awaits
The Atlas Lions will have just a few days to prepare before returning to action at the Grand Stade de Tanger on Sunday, October 4.
With the full group back together, the focus now shifts toward fine-tuning the tactical details and making the most of the final match of the international window.
After two wins in competitive football, Morocco will look to maintain that momentum while continuing to develop the team ahead of the challenges still to come.
