Morocco continued their preparations for Sunday's international friendly against Mali, with the Atlas Lions completing another training session at the Mohammed VI Football Complex on Thursday evening.
The session formed part of the team's preparations for the upcoming fixture at the Grand Stade de Tanger, where the national side will close the current international window.
Another Step in the Preparation
The training session began at around 6 p.m. and lasted approximately 90 minutes, as the coaching staff continued working on the team's physical and technical readiness.
The focus remains on maintaining the squad's competitive level while using the friendly to prepare for the international challenges ahead.
With the match against Mali approaching, the coaching staff are also using the remaining sessions to assess the group and work on the final details.
Mazraoui Given a Rest
The entire squad took part in the session with one exception.
Noussair Mazraoui was given a period of rest and will leave the national-team camp before returning to his club, Manchester United, on Friday.
His absence from the session is therefore part of the team's planned management rather than an injury concern.
Final Preparations in Tangier
Morocco will now continue their preparation ahead of Sunday's encounter, with the remaining sessions providing the final opportunity to work on the tactical and technical aspects of the game.
The friendly also gives the coaching staff another chance to evaluate different options within the squad and maintain the momentum built during the September qualifiers.
A Final Test Before the Next Chapter
The Atlas Lions will face Mali on Sunday, October 4, at the Grand Stade de Tanger, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
After victories over Gabon and Lesotho in their opening AFCON 2027 qualifiers, the meeting will offer another opportunity to test the squad against a different opponent.
The focus now turns to the final preparations before Morocco step onto the pitch in Tangier.
