Leeds Renew Interest in Morocco Star Bilal El Khannouss

Leeds United are once again monitoring Morocco international Bilal El Khannouss, but Stuttgart's increased valuation could make a summer move difficult to complete.

Bilal El Khannouss has once again emerged on the radar of Leeds United, with the Moroccan midfielder reportedly open to exploring a new challenge during the current summer transfer window.

However, the financial demands surrounding the 22-year-old could make a potential move difficult, particularly after Stuttgart recently made his transfer permanent.

Leeds Keeping an Eye on Khannouss

Leeds previously held positive discussions over a potential move for Khannouss, but a deal failed to materialize after Leicester City maintained a high asking price.

The Premier League club could now revisit their interest, although reports suggest they may ultimately decide against making another approach because of the midfielder's significantly increased valuation.

Stuttgart Secure His Future

Khannouss spent last season on loan at Stuttgart from Leicester City and quickly established himself as an important part of the German side.

His performances convinced Stuttgart to activate the purchase option in his loan agreement, reportedly worth around £20 million, making the Moroccan international a permanent member of the squad.

The midfielder's development in Germany has since attracted renewed attention from clubs across Europe.

A Much Higher Asking Price

Stuttgart are understood to have little interest in selling Khannouss so soon after completing his permanent transfer.

His current valuation is believed to have risen substantially and could potentially exceed twice the amount Stuttgart paid to sign him, creating a significant obstacle for interested clubs.

For Leeds, that financial jump could prove decisive as the English side continues to shape its squad under Daniel Farke.

Leeds' Interest Remains

Despite the difficulties, Khannouss remains a player on Leeds' radar as the club searches for talent capable of strengthening its ambitions.

Former Manchester United scout Mick Brown has suggested that Leeds may not return to the deal at this stage, pointing to both the midfielder's increased price and the club's previous decision not to complete the transfer.

For now, Stuttgart remain in a strong position.

Another Chapter in Khannouss' Rise

Khannouss' rapid rise continues to attract attention across European football.

After establishing himself with Morocco and making a strong impression in the Bundesliga, the midfielder has positioned himself as one of the Atlas Lions' most exciting young talents.

Whether Leeds turn their interest into another concrete approach remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: Khannouss' growing value is a reflection of how quickly his European journey continues to accelerate.
