Imran Louza has opened a new chapter in his career after completing his move from Watford to Panathinaikos.

The Greek side have reportedly agreed a fee in the region of £7 million for the Moroccan midfielder, who has signed a four-year contract with the club.

A New Adventure in Greece

The 27-year-old midfielder arrives at Panathinaikos after several seasons in English football, bringing with him extensive experience and a proven record of creating opportunities from midfield.

Louza did not feature in a competitive match for Watford this season, although he made a 20-minute appearance during a preseason friendly against Fiorentina last month.

Now, his focus turns toward making an impact in Greece and beginning an exciting new chapter.

A Standout Season at Watford

Louza leaves Watford following an impressive 2024-25 Championship campaign.

The midfielder played 42 league matches, producing seven goals and nine assists while becoming one of the division's most influential creative players.

His performances also saw him entrusted with the Watford captaincy, highlighting the importance he held within the squad.

From Nantes to Watford

Louza originally joined Watford from French club Nantes in the summer of 2021.

After returning to France for a five-month loan spell with Lorient in January 2024, he returned to England that summer and continued to establish himself as an important part of Watford's midfield.

Across the past two seasons, Louza made 81 appearances for the Hornets.

A New Challenge for a Moroccan International

Born in France, Louza chose to represent Morocco at international level, adding another chapter to the growing story of Moroccan players making their mark across European football.

His move to Panathinaikos now offers another opportunity to compete at a high level and bring his technical quality, creativity, and experience to a new environment.

A new country, a new challenge, and another European stage, Imran Louza's journey continues with Panathinaikos, carrying his Moroccan identity into the next chapter of an already fascinating career.
