Juventus have continued to monitor Brahim Diaz despite seeing their approach rejected during the summer transfer window.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the Moroccan international remains high on the Italian club’s list of potential future targets after choosing to continue his career at Real Madrid rather than make the move to Turin.
Juventus Keep the Door Open
The Italian giants had already explored the possibility of signing the 27-year-old during the summer.
A meeting with Real Madrid officials was reportedly arranged through the player’s representative as Juventus looked into the possibility of bringing him to Serie A.
However, the attacking midfielder ultimately decided to remain at the Santiago Bernabéu and continue competing for his place under the Madrid club.
That decision did not appear to end Juventus’ interest.
A Long-Term Target for the Italian Giants
According to the report, the Moroccan remains among the names being considered as Juventus look to add greater flexibility to their midfield and attacking options.
The club are also monitoring other experienced midfielders, including Stanislav Lobotka of Napoli and Mateo Kovacic of Manchester City.
However, the report identifies the Real Madrid player as one of the most prominent names within Juventus’ longer-term plans.
Tactical Versatility Makes Him Attractive
One of the qualities that makes the 27-year-old particularly appealing is his ability to operate in several attacking roles.
He can play in midfield, behind the striker or from wider positions, while his technical quality allows him to contribute in the final third.
That versatility could give Juventus additional tactical flexibility and make him a different profile from some of the other players on their shortlist.
Contract Situation at Real Madrid
The Moroccan currently has a contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2027.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, there is already an agreement in principle for the relationship to continue until June 2030, with the formal signing still to be completed.
That situation could prove important for any future suitor, particularly if the Spanish giants move forward with the planned extension.
The Interest Has Not Disappeared
For now, the midfielder remains focused on his career in Madrid, having already made the decision to reject Juventus’ summer approach.
The Italian club, however, appears to be keeping the possibility alive rather than closing the door after its initial attempt failed.
With his versatility, experience and ability to influence attacking phases, he remains a player capable of attracting attention from major European clubs, and Juventus appear ready to continue monitoring the situation.
