Azzedine Ounahi is officially back in green and white.
The Moroccan midfielder completed his first training session with Panathinaikos on Friday, September 4, just days after the Greek club officially announced his return.
At the Giórgos Kalafátis training ground, Ounahi was all smiles as he joined his new teammates and completed the entire programme prepared by the technical staff.
A Full Session for the Moroccan Midfielder
Ounahi took part in every stage of the session, including warm-ups, ball-positioning exercises, small-sided games and finishing drills.
His positive energy immediately marked the beginning of a new chapter, with the Atlas Lion ready to once again make his presence felt in Athens.
Back Where He Already Made His Mark
This return to Panathinaikos carries a special meaning for Ounahi.
The 24-year-old previously spent the 2024-25 season on loan at the Greek club from Olympique de Marseille, enjoying an impressive campaign.
Across 37 appearances, he recorded five goals and seven assists, leaving a strong impression during his first spell.
A Long-Term Commitment
This time, Ounahi's return is not temporary.
After arriving from Girona FC in Spain, the Moroccan international has signed a contract keeping him at Panathinaikos until the summer of 2030.
It represents a major long-term commitment and gives Ounahi the opportunity to build something lasting at a club where he already knows the environment, the supporters and the ambitions.
A New Chapter Begins
With his first training session now complete, Ounahi's focus turns toward the season ahead. A familiar club, a fresh beginning and a new opportunity to shine.
The Atlas Lion is back in Athens, and the next chapter is ready to begin.
