The Morocco women's U-17 national team opened its 2026 Mediterranean Games campaign with a commanding 4-0 victory over Slovenia on Saturday, August 22, at the Franco Fanzi Stadium in Brindisi, Italy.

The performance gave the young Atlas Lionesses the perfect beginning to the 20th edition of the Mediterranean Games.

A Dominant Start in Brindisi

After a goalless opening half, Morocco returned from the break with renewed energy and quickly turned its control into goals.

Imane Dahissi opened the scoring in the 50th minute, giving the young Lionesses the breakthrough they had been searching for.

The goal immediately lifted the team's momentum.

Four Goals and a Statement Performance

Morocco continued to press forward and doubled its advantage in the 61st minute, when Nesma Mouradi confidently converted from the penalty spot.

Just two minutes later, Chaimae Boughazi added a third, putting the match firmly in Morocco's hands.

Mouradi then completed her brace in the 66th minute, bringing the score to 4-0 and putting the finishing touch on a remarkable second-half attacking display.

The Next Challenge Arrives Quickly
