Regragui's brilliant Morocco
Regragui's brilliant Morocco to go all in for Bronze Medal :
Morocco was unlucky not to beat defending champions France, as they failed to see the back of the net even after creating a lot of threats. Conversely, Les Bleus were clinical and scored when they got their chance. That said, France qualified for the consecutive final, ending Morocco's brilliant run.
Morocco's injury problems and lack of final touch were two significant reasons behind their loss as captain Romain Saiss subbed off as his ongoing injury forced him to go out. The same happened with Noussair Mazraoui, who was also subbed off in the break due to his ongoing injury.
Moving forward, Atlas Lions will take on the first semi-final losing side Croatia for the bronze medal battle. Both teams met once in this World Cup's group stage round, where each team secured one point.
Against France, they conceded goals, but they still can become the second team after Spain (2010 World Cup) to keep five clean sheets in a World Cup if they manage to not score any Croatian player on Saturday.
It is expected that we get to see some new faces in this game, as Regragui said in his media talk :
"It will be difficult on a mental level. I will give opportunities to those who did not play, and we will try to clinch third place."
"The important thing is that we presented a good look to our team and that football in Morocco is not far from the top level."
